What to Wear to a New Years Eve Party

Home with the Family

For the times I celebrated New Years at home I still wanted some sparkle and to look nice when ringing in the new year. My family loves slippers and I love these sparkle ones.

Out of Sync

I have been so out of my routine! I love the holidays and seeing family but I really hate being away from my blog for so long. I haven't taken many new outfit posts mostly because I have been hanging out with my family at home in comfy clothes that are not "blog worthy" or outfit that you have already seen and I don't want to bore you with outfits you have already seen.
I should have said it earlier  since I have already skipped a few days but I will not be able to post everyday for awhile since I will be spending a lot of time with my family.
Now, before I started blogging I would follow bloggers and think "if you are around family all the time you have ton of people who could potentially take your photos, easy" but after being the blogger, taking outfit pictures is a really personal and sometimes awkward thing. You like certain angles or lighting, sometimes poses are weird and you want to forget they existed and some family member don't understand blogging in general so it makes for odd conversations.
So with that story I leave you with this outfit I wore to work last week but am posting today :)
Cheers!

The Night Before Christmas

I am wearing this to Christmas Eve Mass being the good C&E Catholic that I am.
For those that don't know C&E mean Christmas and Easter, those are the only masses a C&E Catholic go to.

Blue Christmas

With all the parties you go to over the holidays sometimes a glitzy sweatshirt, colored pants, and a pair of heels is all you need. I really wish I got this sweatshirt a size smaller so the color is closer to my neck, oh well, a time through the dyer should do the trick.

Santa Please!

Sweatshirt // Necklace // Earrings // Boots // Hangers // Bracelet // Tote

What's on my Wish List this year?

Monogramed Necklace
A monogramed necklace is a preppy piece that never goes out of style and is something you keep forever and can wear everyday.

Awesome Sweatshirt
I found this sweatshirt on Etsy and since I am a natural blonde curly head I really need this top in my life.

Scarf Hangers
I have one too many scarves and the last one broke the hangers. I need new ones because right now all of my hangers are in a big pile on the floor in my closet, not so organized.

Pearl Earrings
Again this is something classic and will stand the test of time.

Hunter Boots
Right now the weather is bringing rain and not snow so I want some shoes that actually keep my feet dry. The vintage green color is traditional and different than the normal black rain boots we see so often.

Madewell's Transport Tote
I'll say it again, I am a big girl now and need a more adult wardrobe. This tote is the perfect size to hold everything from my purse and some books for school too!

Kate Spade Bow bracelet
Just because sometimes you need something special to make an outfit.

Welcome Winter

We may have gotten the snow early this year and not on Christmas like last year but it is finally here, the first day of winter.
I love this outfit!
I love the mix of the colors and textures. The burgundy pants remind me of warm red wine when out with friends, the cable knit sweater nods to the cold outside, my fur scarf is a chic addition to an easy outfit and let's not forget about an easy everyday wear chambray shirt.
I love this chambray. The light color makes it a great transitional piece in my closet for both winter and summer. Oh, summer how I do miss you. Well, summer will come soon enough. I'm going to enjoy winter while it's here.

Dressed in Holiday Style: Gift Wrapped

White Sweater: Loft // Tee: Old Navy // Earrings: Kate Spade // Blue Tee: Aerie // Belt: Target

What is more girly than sequins and bows?
I mean it is like the epitome of cutesy. I love cute bows on clothing.
It's like you are a little present for the holidays.
These bows are my favorites from what I have found around the internet.
Deck yourself out in bow attire this holiday and double points if it is sparkly too!

White Sweater: J. Crew Factory // Headband: J.Crew Factory

On Dasher, On Prancer, On Master, and Visa

The time is almost upon us...last minute Christmas shopping is almost here!
Do you have all of your presents?
I have a few of my gifts still in the mail and one looks like it wont' make it until after Christmas, poo! But, I have a great idea of how to wrap a present that doesn't exist yet! I'll let you know how it goes.

¿Dónde está Santa?

Took my Spanish final yesterday...boy I hate tests.
I really love learning this new language but I am still nervous to actually speak it, I'm afraid of making mistakes and sounding stupid. I have tried to actually speak it and just accept what happens when I open my mouth and let Spanish flow out.
I am happy and grateful that I met a few really great people in my class too. We exchanged phone numbers and hopefully will have a Spanish reunion sometime soon in the new year. In the meantime I'm going to worry about how I did on my tests.
We will see in a few days how well I did on my exam. Wish me luck!
