Now You're Mine

I am a 90's kid, and for me a traditional Halloween Night was Sloppy Joes for dinner then Trick-or-Treating and finishing the night sitting on the couch in my costume eating my candy and watching Hocus Pocus. I hope you all have a great and safe night.
Happy Halloween everyone!

Monster Mash

This was Eric and mine's first Halloween we got to spend together in our 5 years of dating and I wanted us to do a couples costume. I gave Eric a few choices and he chose the Wall-E and Eve costume.
This costume was done pretty last minute for both of us. Life just got in the way and we didn't have time to make them to perfection. I think considering the time crunch we look pretty good.

Even my dog Lucy got to wear a costume. Keeping her hat on her head was a challenge though.

Quick Costume: Fabulous Flower Pot

Tee: Old Navy / Skirt: J. Crew Factory / Flowers: Local Dollar Store or Craft Store / Hot Glue Gun: Craft Store / Boots: Nordstrom / Bee Headband: Amazon

Last year I had this idea that you can still be interesting and cute without looking like, well, you know how some girls dress on Halloween. I thought about it because in college we always worked an event called Safe Treat and our costumes of course had to be kid friendly yet interesting. I thought a flower pot was a pretty and different idea. You have almost everything you need at home. You may have to go and get the flowers and the bee headband is optional but I feel the bugs make it look more interesting.

Witches Brew

On day two of our Girls Weekend we did a little wine tasting. We went to the Old Mission Peninsula and we were able to go to 6 vineyards! This was the first time we all went wine tasting. It was a great experience! Every vineyard had its own style and personality. Some were huge and others small but they all had delicious white wine. I love white wines and learned on a tour that the climate in Michigan is perfect to make delicious white wines.
The first vineyard had gorgeous barrels and a rustic red barn.

The second vineyard had an old school house and almost all the wine was named after school events like Detention and Homework. This will be the only time I will ever say I really liked Homework.
The third vineyard had a gorgeous view! My friends and I couldn't resist taking pictures of the scenery.
The forth winery had the beautiful barrels right in the tasting room. Here I tried Ice Wine for the first time and it was delicious!
The fifth vineyard again had a beautiful view and a great selection of wine both whites and reds.
The final vineyard was so cute and they had a selection of wine named after the beloved dogs of the winery. As you can see the entryway was decorated with vines growing around on the lattice. While we were tasting I looked up and saw that grapes were actually growing on the lattice! They were so beautiful!
This weekend was much needed and a great way for all of us to celebrate graduating from college and starting our lives as post-grads.

Ghouls Just Wanna Have Fun

For a few months my friends and I have been planning a trip to Traverse City and finally we got to go. My friend Kristen was the travel agent and planned a great trip for the four of us. For todays and tomorrows post I'm going to share some pictures from our weekend.
We were so lucky to have seen our home state of Michigan so beautiful! I was able to take so many pictures of the beautiful up north autumn.

Once we go into the city we checked into out hotel, changed and headed to The Grand Traverse Distillery to taste some whiskey and vodka and to see how these spirits are made. It was a great start to a too short of weekend.

Be Afraid, Be Very Afraid

So I hope this news I heard isn't true!
I heard that the world chocolate supply will be gone come 2020!
The source I heard it from was a friend who said there is something wrong with the chocolate in the location where it is grown the most. I really hope this info is wrong because many people across the planet will be very upset!
