I've Been Hamburgled!

I love Halloween!
This is one of my better costumes too!
Last year I saw a post at what i wore for an easy Hamburglar costume and thought "next year, for sure." So I started collecting pieces last November. This dress is from Old Navy from last year (or early spring, I can't remember). I made my mask and tie out of felt and an old hair band. The yellow on the hat is just felt in a circle.
Instead of a black towel or black fabric I actually found a cape which ended up being the most expensive part of my costume.
The shoes I borrowed from my roommate.
I worked Safe Treat today (which is a safe place kids in a college town can go trick or treating without getting wrapped up in some college kids shenanigans) and a bunch of the parents told me I had a great and creative costume.
I hope you all have a safe and haunted Halloween!

Item Debut: Hidden Heel Sneakers

For being super sick I feel like I don't look that bad.
I ordered these shoes from Target awhile ago so God only knows if they still have them.
I have been noticing a this shoe trend with celebrities recently and now the hidden heel sneakers are making their way into the mainstream. I never thought I would wear shoes like this but I love them. You wouldn't think that 3 and half inch heels would be comfortable but they are! These shoes also have amazing grip. I actually wore them in snow and they had better traction than my snow boots.
If you like this trend you can go to DSW and look under heeled or wedge sneakers.
You will find a ton of different colors and heel heights.

Twenty-Nine: Beside the Dying Fire

In the past week there have been a lot of things happening.
For one it snowed a lot. We got a few inches of snow and it stuck aorund until today when the sun came out and started to really warm up and melt snow piles.
We also had our annual BYOP party Saturday. Some of the creativiry of my friends have is amazing. I;m just haooy everyone had fun and filled up on good food. I also loved that so many people wore costumes. No worries, I'll post my costume on Halloween!
My room mate and I still have four pumpkins to do and I think today after class I'll gut my two and carve one today and another tomorrow, now comes the question of what to do to it.
On a final note, I finally got the common cold and have been sick since Friday night.
Last year I didn't get sick once and now it's November and I got my first cold, I hope I get over this cold fast and I only get one more next semester...or that is my only cold for the year.

Twenty-Three: "Listen to me Olive Oil!"

The nights are getting colder and the days are getting shorter meaning a snow storm could hit at any moment. I am getting prepared but today I felt like being cozy in a long sleeved shirt, stretchy jeggings and a comfy scarf.
Scarves are my go to item for being warm and cozy. Even when I am hanging out at home I love wearing leggings, a long top and a scarf. There is something so simplistic about scarves yet when paired with the right items and colors a scarf can take an outfit to the next level.
So try a scarf today!

All Stitched Up

This Halloween nail designed was a combination of looking at zombie and Frankenstein inspired nails. I came up with this. The skin color looks colorless to represent zombies and the open wounds with the stitches are little Frankenstein-like.

Twenty-Two: Style Sister Christina Hendricks

It feels like forever since I did a Style Sister post and it just so happened I had the appropriate items in my 30 for 30 to do one. I find Christina Hendricks to be beautiful! Her street style is simple and classy but when she goes on the red carpet she glams it up and plays up her glorious ta-ta's.

Twenty: Pretty Much Dead Already

A few things:
I cannot believe how fast this semester is going by! I have to much to do still! I feel like I work my tail off every weekend to keep up/stay ahead with school stuff and graduate school applications.
I also am having a hard time with how nice the weather is still. Usually by now we have had our first real big snow storm where it sticks and stays until April. We have had a few snoe showers but it always melts away by noon. I'm expecting it to be a terrible winter after January seeing as Laramie got no snow last year. It has to make up for a lost year of snow.
Seeing as how fast the semester is going; I only have 10 days left of the 30 for 30 and I have spent half of it with out my camera! That also means that my all time favorite holiday is fast approaching along with my annual BYOP(bring your own pumpkin) party. I can't wait for the festivities next Saturday.
Final note: I love this outfit. When I put it together in my head when I was planning my outfits for the 30 for 30 I wasn't impressed or excited about it but when I put it on I felt comfy, cute and adorable! I should have worn this on a school day but you might know the saying where it goes something like "cute on the hanger doesn't always mean cute on the body but ugly on the hanger usually means cute on the body." I dunno how it goes exactly but itwas so true for this outfit.
