Save vs. Splurge

Splurge: American Eagle Dolce Vita Bootie

Ok, I have the boots on the left and I am so in boot love. The heel is enough to creat hight but it's not painful high. The color is really off in the picture. It is darker. Booties are in for fall everyone, get 'em while they are hot!

Prepare for Pumpkin Everything

This is the time of the season when pumpkin puree flys off the shelves at the three grocery stores in town, pumpkin spice lattes can be found at all of the coffee shops in town, pumpkin ale can actually be served at bars and pumpkin scented candles are found in every home where a woman resides.
Pumpkin everything has taken over!
As I have said many-a-time on this blog, fall is my favorite season. I love the colors of the changing leaves, layering to stay warm and baking pumpkin treats with the help of Pinterest.

Item Debut: Gap's Classy Sweatpants

On my first day of college my mom called me up and said "promise me something, promise me you will never wear sweatpants to class." Back then I said ya I won't wear sweatpants. Now, 4 years later, I still don't regret saying I wouldn't wear sweatpants until I found these glorious babies at Gap (online). I bought them (obviously). I broke a golden shopping rule of mine in order to have them: they were not on sale. I paid full price and I do not regret that either.  What I do regret is not ordering a size down. Once I tried them on and whoa way to big! Then I looked online to order a smaller size and to mail these ones back but they were sold out! After washing and drying multiple times they are now smaller but not as tight as I would like them but still outrageously comfortable!
Now I dare you to try sweatpants with heels.
I got so so so sooooo many strange looks while wearing my sweatpants and heels. You know though, I love this look. I love these heels, theyare comfortable, the sweatpants are comfortable the top and jacket are comfortable. This look does not sacrifice comfort for fashion but embraces it.

Style Sister: Emma Stone

As you know I have a ton of clothes and I always am drooling over celebrity or fellow blogger style.I know everyone has their own style, like I live in my cardigans and sweaters while others may live in sweatpants. I take style inspiration fro everywhere which is why I used the beautiful and funny Emma Stone's jacket and dark wash (possibly black) skinny jeans as a template for this fall look.
Also in this outfit I tried my new matte top coat from Essie. I used OPI's I'm Not Really a Waitress as the color and then put the top coat on after the color had dried completely. Im really loving this adult but different manicure.

Happy Birthday Bloggity Blog!!

I can't believe that my little baby Blog is one year old today!
We have had one crazy ride but I am happy I made the decison a year ago to start this project.
I hope for more years to come and for my style evolve even more.
Here are some flashback photos of the past year.

Why So Studious?

Yesterday I had a Neurology exam and a Biological Psychology exam. I felt like zombie in more than one way. First way, brains, I looked and studied so many brain pictures that I felt a strange connection to them (not really but those pictures and I got really close) I also felt like a zombie from lack of sleep, constantly looking at notes and being "coffee drunk."
Let's just say after 2 o'clock yesterday I was "relaxing" and leave it at that.

Need Want Lust

You all know I gave up online shopping for the semester, but what you don't know is how bad I am failing at it. I am an emotional shopper. If I have a bad day I go to my favorite places and shop, a lot, with money I really don't have. I have gotten a far amount but not as much as I would have normally so there is some improvement, but still failure.
Anyways, while I have been shopping a few trends have popped up that I really love. One trend is not above but I ordered it and I cannot wait to show it to you all. Ok, first trend is the peplum style. I need a peplum top but all I am finding is expensive ones so when I found this faux but kind of like peplum top I jumped on the occasion. This affordable top is at Kohl's and come is four colors including the Oxblood color trend for the fall. Next is the ankle boot. I have a few already but this lace up army green is versatile with any fall outfit. The final "trend" is more of a classic look. I am lusting over this specific striped sweater. The color and I am sure quality is probably worth the price tag but I just cannot bring myself to checkout on it.

Diet Coke Brownies

I found this recipe on Pinterest and as soon as I saw it I had to try it, especially because I had all the ingredients in my home already.
But ok you will need:
 1. a 12oz can of diet coke and a standard box brownie mix (doesn't matter what kind, this was what I had in the house). Preheat oven according to directions on the brownie box.
2. But in reality you will need the following in the below picture (flour is only if you live at high altitude. Laramie is at 7,200ft so 3 tablespoons of flour are needed). Also in my home we do not have a 13 by 9 inch pan so I had to make do with a pie plate.

3. Alright, take the brownie mix and pour it into the bowl and your 3 tablespoons of flour if you're at high altitude/elevation.

4. Now the moment of truth: pour in your can of Diet Coke. You can also use regular Coke if you're totally against Diet pops.

5. Now the bubbles I guess are normal so get past that and whisk this science project together, I swear it will taste delicious!

 6. Keep whisking until all limps are gone and you have a batter like consistency.

7. Spray your 13x9 pan (or in this case your pie plate) with Pam or grease using whatever you want to use. It you forget this step...disaster.

8. Now pour your mix into the 13x9 and pop in the preheated oven. Bake for the amount of time on the box and then check it will probably still not be done like mine was and it had to go for another 30 minutes. The whole process took about 2 hours but was worth it in the end. My brownies had a thin hard layer on then when I pulled them out of the oven. I took it off and continued baking until a toothpick came out clean. These brownies are delicious, moist and are even better with a small scoop id vanilla ice cream. I have no after pictures because my roommate and I ate them all as soon as we tried them. Good luck and enjoy!

Coco Chanel once said something along the lines of "before you leave your home take one thing off".
Usually I don't put on very many accessories but today I felt like I needed to put on everything to make this plain black dress interesting.
I did not take anything off.
It may look over done but I really do love how this outfit looks.
