Thirty: All Done!

Last outfit for this 30 for 30 and I think it is a good one to go out on. This time round shoes were a problem because of blisters and summer weather that came unexpectedly. Overall it was a spring warm and fun challenge.

Shirt Knot Tutorial

If you are a bigger girl like me and have seen all the crop tops this season and dare not to show your midriff then maybe try a baby step in showing that tummy. I always cover my tummy in a one-piece and will probably never wear a bikini but I do love this skirt knot and how I feel sexy and comfortable in my own skin.
I love the $8 Target t-shirts and I probably own one in every color but it is boring wearing the same shirt everyday over the summer and it's crazy how something little (shirt knot, tuvking it in, rolling sleeves, or a pin) can make it look completely different.
Disclaimer about the shirt knot: Please please PLEASE don't show your "been to too many fraternity kegger parties and now I have a keg for my belly" with this look! Only do this if you have a kinda/ really flat or slightly round tummy and if your pants are your size and you don't have front muffin top.

Ok, with that disclaimer here we go:

 1.  Wear a shirt that is a little baggy and has some material to pull from. I also recommend a shirt that you aren't afraid to stretch out or you can dry it.

2. Grab a chunk of the shirt at the bottom and create a "tail" of the shirt either in the middle or to the side of your body. I prefer side because the middle one shows my belly button and for me thats too much skin showing.

3. Twist the "tail" until it is rope like so it is easier to tie and it creates the gathered look on shirt.

4. Wrap the "tail" around a finger for the beginning part of the knot.

5. Push the end of the "tail" through the hole where your finger was while you were wrapping the "tail" around it. Pull the little end piece as far as you want or if you have a long tail you can wrap it around the knot. Either way you're done! Just enough skin to look sexy but not too much to feel uncomfortable. Just make sure to hide your love handle and muffin top.
And you're done! Enjoy the skin your in and feel glorious this summer!

Twenty-Seven: The Week I Live At the Library

Like the title says that's where I will be this week studying away. But that doesn't mean I won't be posting, oh no, that's another form of procrastination that I cannot afford not to use. (Double negative use). I do find joy in this outfit though. I decided to be a little ballsy and show some skin that never sees the light of day...I guess it should start because I have a feeling this shirt knot will be making a lot of appearances this summer.
All right enough procrastunating for right now. Just a short and sweet little message with a short and sweet outfit!

Twenty-Four: Thunder

Well we took these pictures at a great time because later on in the day we got this fantastic thunderstorm! I love storms. I love looking for lighting and listening to thunder and the rain pitter patter on the glass windows.

And yes these shoes are not apart of the 30 for 30 but I have ragin' blisters and they hurt like crazy so there is no way I am going to wear real shoes today.

Twenty-One: A Kind Stanger

Sometimes you just need someone to say something nice to you and it can change the whole view of the day.

While walking to class today a random stranger walking past me goes "you look really good."
Now I knew my outfit looked nice and I loved it but to have a random girl tell me I look really good..it made me smile from ear to ear!

I know she didn't mean it this way but that also gave me more motivations to continue going to the gym! What a great day.

Twenty: Ten Seconds

When taking pictures of yourself, set the timer on your camera to ten seconds.
This should allow you enough time to run in place fix your hair that smells and looks crappy because you totally forgot about this post and went to the gym and now is all sweaty...and the camera just took the picture.

That was how 30mins of my life went today.
I hate it when I forget about getting people to take my picture and then I have to do it myself.
It never turns out at well as I want it to be.
Well trial and lots of error on this style of picture taking until I am as good as Kansas Couture.

But until that day I'm going to quietly curse at myself for taking crappy pictures and forgetting to bribe my friends and family into taking my pictures.
Which reminds me, I need to get more gold star stickers for them.
Kidding.
