7 Day Dare: Leap Year

It's Leap Year day!! I wonder how many babies were born today.
Back to clothing:
Day 4 of the 7 Day Dare and I love this look! Blazers are my favorite thing but I really don't think they look that good on me so when I do find an amazing blazer it makes my heart smile.

 That was so cheesy.
But Happy Humpday everyone!
Spring Break is so close!

Random: Song Obsession of the Moment

So random but I love this song!
Does anyone remember "Show Me Love" from the 90's? Ya! You do! Well Robyn is back everybody!
This girl know how to make dance music and she also has a great style. In this video she is knda conservatively dressed but check out her SNL performance and you will know what I mean when I say she is fashion ballsy.
But anyway the song:
This song definately makes me get up and white girl dance a.k.a. jumping around and flailing my arms around with a squished face while lip singing, oh ya, so sexy (sarcasm is a gift).
If you like to white girl dance alone in your room you should get Robyn's Dancing on My Own from itunes, its basically your anthem!
You keep dancing girl!

7 Day Dare: Click-Clack

I do not like shoes that go click-clack. They are only good for tap dancing or in movies when the snotty woman walks down the hall. Heels at a fancy restaurant or big fancy event are all right too. I forgot that I had these old boots and I wondered why I don't wear them more often. I put them on, walked out the door and heard that awful click-clack.

I love this outfit and have been waiting a long time to wear it. Thank God tomorrow is laundry day because this top for the 7 Day Dare really needs a good washing.

7 Day Dare: Americano

Day 2 of the 7 Day Dare. This combination only works because of the scarf. It is absolutely amazing what a good scarf can do to an outfit.
Giving up shopping for Lent has been pretty good so far. I have been tempted but I haven't bought anything, granted it has only been 5 days.

Need Want Lust

Need: Silk Light Chocolate Milk

Since I can't go clothes shopping I can go grocery shopping. Silk milk is delicious and one of my favorite things to splurge on.
A leopard and cheetah bag is definitely a must for any season.
Teal pants? Please and thank you!

Item Debut: Sparkle Loafers

Just because I gave up online shopping for Lent doesn't mean I can't receive stuff. Before Lent started I ordered these Sparkle Loafers for a twist on a classic black shoe.

I love these shoes! They are comfy and blister free after a whole day of walking around campus. I have wide feet and I always worry about the width of shoes. In my normal size 8.5 they fit amazing and I totally recommend these shoes.

Lent: 40 Days of No Shopping

Yup, that's right. No ONLINE shopping for all of Lent.
It was not me that chose this: it was the boyfriend.

 I couldn't even do 30 days in the 30 for 30 so I don't know how I am going to do 40.
A challenge is staged for me and I hope I can do it.
Ready, break!

Paczki Day

Some people are getting their last day of vices in before Lent. One vice I will not get is a Paczki. A paczki is basically a really caloric doughnut that is filled with fruit preserves, jam, custard or frosting. In the Detroit area we are blessed to have a community of hard working polish immigrants who make this amazing pastry every year and make us appreciate the good things in life!
I thought because it was Paczki Day I dress like one too. Especially my favorite kind: raspberry preserves powered one! Delicious!

Art Deco Nails

I saw this tutorial a few weeks ago at and thought I would give it a try.
I did 2 rounds of this manicure and used a different technique than what was shown in the tutorial.
Instead of using a brush, I used a very large dotting tool.
The first time I did the design I globbed on the polish so it took forever to dry and during my shower the polish smudge big-time and was unrecoverable.
The second time I did it I used the polish sparingly. I didn't have the nasty bubbles in the polish and it dried way faster!
You can use this design with other colors just make sure you use the darest polish last.
Good Luck and Happy Manicuring!

Need Want Lust

Lust: Ray Ban Wayfarer

I feel that Summer is just around the corner but I am sorely mistaken. I don't even know where Spring is! With all the time I have until Summer maybe I should hit up the gym and work out to get into Summer Shape before I regret it! I really want to look good in clothes first before I even think about getting into a swimsuit. Even if I don't get into shape before the sun shines all day, this wrap floral top looks like it would be flattering on a figure that hasn't seen a beach in months while the longer Bermuda short will cover some of my white legs and unsightly cellulite! (C'mon ladies, we all know we have a little) The one accessory that I believe always fits is a pair of sunglasses and during sunny Summer I don't go anywhere without 'em!

Who's That Girl?

Who's that girl? Who's that girl? It's Jess!
I am in love with New Girl! This week's episode made me literally LOL! Like, OMiGod!
Jess wears lots of fun and bright colors usually with patterns that you would only find at ModCloth.
Not only does she have an amazingly fun and cool wardrobe but she is Zooey Deschanel who is stylish anyways and she always seems to dress comfortably.

I really love this outfit because it is so comfy and it was so easy to think up. Well, to be honest I have become a Polyvore addict and whenever I want to buy anything new online I go there and try to create at least three new outfits form the new item and other items I currently have. Not only does this optimize closet space but it saves me so much $$$!

The only downfall in the whole Polyvore process is I find other items that I can use with not only the current item I am making an outfit for but I can add it to other outfits I have and then I just have to have that highly versatile item for my wardrobe!
Having a shopping addiction is rough sometimes.
Other times it rocks because people want me to go shopping with them and help them with their clothing situation...then I spend their money which is always better than spending my $$$,.

Pay Day

What with the big smile? It's PAY DAY! I got my first pay check from my life guarding job today and that money will probably go to new clothes. What a great way to spend money...not realistically but for a fashion blogger it's worth it.

About my current outfit: I love it. This skirt is so old and I have no idea where it is from or how old it is but it was sitting in my closet for years until I had some sort of epiphany and realized how many outfits I could create with it. Another cool fact is I am wearing a long sweater and t-shirt that I tucked into the skirt. The scarf came in the mail yesterday and I had to use it in an outfit as soon as it was out of the package.
The big smile has many reasons behind it today.

Item Debut: Hot Pink Pants

I have never really understood Valentine's Day. It's just a day to celebrate love but isn't that the point of an anniversary? Maybe I am just sour because Valentine's Day isn't that fun in a long-distance relationship. I was able to talk to my man for a quite awhile today but I would like to spend a real Valentine's Day with him, then maybe I'll get what all the hullabaloo is about on the day of hearts and pink pants. Speaking of which, I got these pants awhile ago and have been dying to wear them out.
Against the snow they are crazy pink!
Pink pants, will you be my Valentine?

Snow Day

Well, I wish we had a snow day. Sometimes I wish UW would be like my High School and when it was supposed to snow 6inches they would cancel school the day before. Usually in High School the snow wouldn't come and it would be a free day off of school.
If only this would happen in college.

I did go to class today. I never skip class. Even when the snow is falling sideways and it's 30 below I go to class and I can look this good whiles doing it. I love sweater dresses.
I did make a faux snow day after classes though.
I bought a Chai on campus trudged through the snow back home, curled up under a blanket and watched the newest episode of AMC's The Walking Dead. I would say it has been a pretty good faux snow day.

Talking Hearts

Writing with a toothpick is harder than I thought.
I love talking (conversation) hearts on Valentine's Day.

Need Want Lust

Last week the weather was so nice and I was happy that spring seemed right around the corner.
I started to shop for Spring wear, swimsuits and I envy shoes that were not boots.
On my Polyvore account I created a ton of Spring outfits using this necklace and I dubbed it a "Need" for my Spring and Summer looks. The trench is such a classic piece and the color goes with everything! The loafers, 'nough said! The design is lust worthy but the price makes me want to cringe .
This week, the Laramie winter struck leaving my dreams of wearing my new Spring outfits in the past.
A girl can dream though.

Tan Lines Please

You need some sunglasses for this! I am so white and pale!
Girl needs to whip out the tan-in-a-bottle or go fake and bake.

Spring Break is coming up and I am going on vacation to the exotic paradise of Michigan, known for sunburns in the middle of March. Sarcasm to the extreme here.
But hey, at least there are beaches.
