Breakfast at Hepburn's

What girl doesn't love Audrey!? And what girl doesn't love crepes!? Combine the two and you have Hepburn's Crepes and Coffee.

I love this place even though I have only been there twice. All of the crepes are named after Audrey's co-stars in her famous films. It is definitely a great place to take girlfriends for lunch of savory crepes or for something sweet in the afternoon with the delicious Nutella and raspberry crepes.
The other day my friend Brittany and I had bonding here, then shopping after. Then yesterday was my birthday! I am a young and fun 22 years old now. Tonight, will be another party and I can not wait for what I am going to wear. See you all in the New Year!

Little Saint Nick

Chirstmas Eve on Woodward Avenue

Every Christmas Eve I go with Eric's family to Christmas Eve mass at our church and it is located on the famous Woodward Avenue.
For me, Christmas Eve mass is a fashion show of class. Pretty dresses that make women look beautiful make me happy.

And of course, I had to add a little sass with patterned tights.

Christmas Sweater Party

Sorry for the lack of posting, being home means being more busy than at school and not much time for blogging during the day. I hope everyone had a great Christmas and that Santa was good to everyone!

Ok, so some of Eric (my boyfriend) and my friends had a Holiday Sweater Party this week.

It was also a Secret Santa party. I got a very pretty scarf, a coin purse and a bottle of OPI nail polish. It was a fun time.
To complete my Holiday Sweater look I wanted to have a bow in my hair to look like that excited kid Christmas Morning to see what Santa brought.
Here's the gang! All in Holiday Sweaters!

Holiday Cookie Calories Don't Count

Every year my Aunt and I bake a ton of cookies! Everyone knows those cookie calories add up but around the holidays who's really paying attention to how many cookies are eaten in one night?

This holiday season I want us all to be happy and healthy. Yes indulge in the Christmas cookies and the holiday appetizers but remember to go for a walk or play the new active game systems like Kinect or Wii games.

I love to take my dog, Lucy, for walks. Granted she has short little legs and can't go very far but getting out and moving around helps in keeping active.

You'll Shoot Your Eye Out

Who's Christmas shopping is done!!??!! Not mine!
It's getting close to Oh-Sh*t-Shopping Time and this year I will be participating in the chaos.

Instead, I have been looking at the local theaters for movies that look like potential Oscar nominees. I like to be in the know about the Best Picture nominees. Today, the boyfriend and I saw Hugo which is an enjoyable, heartwarming, family film that's great for the holidays.

On my Christmas Break Movie List: Young Adult, War Horse, My Week With Marilyn, The Descendants, Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Artist and The Adventures of Tin Tin.
When going to the movies, please, don't treat the theater seats like your couch at home because you are not at home so please, leave your Snuggie looking apparel at home.  I swear wearing jeans for 3 hours will not kill you and leggings are fine as long as your toosh is covered by a tunic or long sweater.
Just a holiday fashion tip from your friend, Erica.

Oh Christmas Tree

I love it when we get the Christmas Tree up! It symbolizes the holiday season in my house. In others it may be the Menorah.

Lucy loves to lay under the tree and I love to be with Lucy so we hang together by the tree.

Today I made pancakes for the boyfriend and then I went to a friends house to have a Christmas nail party! Whoot!

For nail parties I like comfort so leggings (that don't show what color underwear you are wearing) a plaid shirt, warm vest and nice boots can make a comfy outfit look stylish!
Even Mom will approve!

It's A Wonderful Life

I love the fashion of the holidays. I love that I can wear a pretty lace shirt and feel cute and everyone else around me thinks I'm going to a Christmas Party. Also, who knows who I'll run into around town; old high school friends, family, that old flame, looking good when coming home is a must.

I recommend versatile pieces when packing for the holidays. Lace, sequins and leather this season are extremely in. When pairing any of the above with a fitted blazer you take a pretty piece and make it a WOW piece.

Another great thing in coming home is I find old stuff in my closet and think it is great (for like a day or 2) so I wear it a ton and I feel like I went shopping.

But everyone knows the best part of coming home is seeing family and friends (and looking cute while doing it).

Partridge in a Pear Tree

Finally! It's soo nice being home in the TRUE mitten state. Sorry Wisconsin, stay to being the squirrel-looking state. I've already starting Christmas shopping but I haven't gotten very far, it's a start.

The best part of being home is seeing my dog, Lucy! She is a little Shih Tzu with a whole lotta sass! Her eyes don't come out well in the picture because she has eye problems caused from her previous owner.

I also think I'm going to be more busy at home over break than at school, which is crazy. Spending time with family and Michigan friends is a full-time job when I am home.

I'll apologize now that posts will be sporadic through the next month but I can guarantee they'll be good ones when I do post!

Hot Cheetah

I saw this design at The Daily Nail a few months ago and I finally tried it. I think it looks great.

I am DONE! Finals are over! I turned in my papers and finished my exams! I'm so ready to get back home. Now the "fun" stress starts: packing everything, planning a cute yet comfortable traveling outfit and making sure I'm at the right gate.

Today's outfit is basically thrown together from what was not in the dirty laundry and what I'm not packing to take home. Planning a month's worth of outfits in one bag along with my OPI nail polish case is really challenging. I've had lots of practice though, so this should not be too hard.

Oh, and another amazing thing about tonight is it's Thirsty Thursday!
What a great way to end finals week.

Final Exam and Paper

Hello happy students of the world! I have completed yet another exam of finals week and, in celebration, some friends and I went to our favorite breakfast place, The Prairie Rose. Well, we've reached hump-day of finals week and I have a question for you now:

True or False: Erica has completed all her final exams and papers.

The answer is FALSE!
Hence why I haven't posted the past 2 days. I've been so wrapped up in writing my 2 final papers that I have no energy or drive to write for fun, sorry. Besides, the outfits I've thrown together during those 2 days have been awful anyway. Let's just say I've been lucky to brush my teeth every morning. But today is different. I put on big girl pants and got one paper done. Success!
For those of you out there struggling through finals or with upcoming finals, good luck and study hard!

Finals Week

There comes a time during every semester as a college student when life is both chaotic and yet focused. I'm talking about Finals Week. Tomorrow starts with the exams and paper writing. I usually don't stress that much, but this time is different. My fingertips will probably have callouses come Friday morning from all the typing I've been doing for my papers.

Yet, through all the stress and mental pain that Finals Week has, comes happiness. Happiness in the form of an airplane en route to Detroit to take me home. I can't wait for Friday morning. Let me tell you though, it's going to be a long 4 days.
